The brand has continued to make shoes and boots from the same high-cost leathers and materials for almost 130 years, despite the world\'s appetite for cheaper and cheaper goods. Sure, you got hip to the brand from flipping through your favorite men\'s publication of J.Crew catalog, but Alden\'s usage of cordovan, chromexcel, and other long-lasting leathers has differentiated it from the handful of other brands who try to sell their \"heritage.\" Besides being the choice shoemaker for street-style cool guys, the brand\'s Indy Boot was worn by actual cool guys, like Harrison Ford in his portrayal of Indiana Jones.
