Retro ray bans - Gem。These vintage Ray-Bans have a fascinating, and mysterious story. I live near the Sierra Nevada in a small historic gold rush town. My son in law works for PG&E, in their water division and maintains the waterways that provide water for our community and beyond, in the Central Valley. Some of these waterways are in remote, high altitude areas and were built in the 20’s-30’s. The only way to access these flumes is by helicopter. While inspecting one flume, he found these in a crystal clear pool. The only way into these flumes are through what is called an addit, the original entrance built in the flume. To his knowledge, there are no women who inspect these flumes. So, how did they get there? (There were no bodies?). Please know that these were thoroughly cleaned. There is a bit of rust on the hinges, and a small scratch on one lense. A fun story for sure.
